Intro Paragraph
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful development and implementation of PV power plant of our worldwide projects pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with specific experience in renewable energy projects, particularly solar power plants.
Your Job
  • Design and Planning: Develop detailed civil engineering designs and plans for PV power plants, including site leveling / civil works plan, foundation designs and drainage systems.Coordinate and validate with other Technical Support Units the execution of specific key studies (Topography, geotechnical study, or others) for its integration in the specific project engineering. 
  • Bill of Materials (BoM) Creation: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BoM) for civil engineering components of PV power plant projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Challenge Technical Standards applicability and verify and justify deviations from them, to assure the technical solvency and the technical-economic efficiency of the projects.
  • Site Assessment: Conduct site assessments to evaluate the suitability of potential locations for various PV power plant equipment, considering factors such as topography, soil conditions, and environmental impact.
  • Managing External Planning Offices: Coordinate and manage interactions with external planning offices including qualification of external civil engineering service providers, definition of Scope of Works (SoW) and Request for Proposals (RfP) and ensuring their deliverables align with project requirements and timelines.
  • Project Management: Manage civil engineering aspects of PV power plant projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with system design engineers, PV engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs and construction activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Construction Support: Provide on-site team with required support and guidance during the construction phase, ensuring that all civil engineering works can be carried out according to the design specifications and quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any engineering issues that arise during the project lifecycle, implementing solutions that optimize project performance and efficiency.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design calculations, reports, construction drawings, and project records.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects, particularly PV power plants
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to civil engineering and renewable energy
  • Fluency in English (business proficiency), working proficiency in other European languages such as German, Spanish, Italian are an added advantage
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required
